Pressure Formed Housing Assembly
for Operating Room Equipment

Material: PVC/Acrylic Alloy
Product Description: This aesthetic user-interface housing assembly required pressure forming, precise robotic trimming, and value-added assembly to achieve the high-end look typical of parts produced for the medical industry.
Secondary Operations: 6-Axis Robot trimming and machining, detailed gluing operations for internal bosses and applying threaded inserts.
Dimensions: 14" x 12" x 12"
Quantities: 100 per year
Production Notes: . A very particular look with style lines was required for this control panel housing. Pressure forming and 6-axis robot trimming was required to achieve an injection molded look at a fraction of the tooling cost.

Vacuum Formed Composting Toilet System
Material: ABS with acrylic cap for porcelain high-gloss appearance
Product Description: This composting toilet can be used at locations where no plumbing is provided. It is a very durable assembly that has the appearance of a common porcelain toilet. The system also consists of a vacuum-formed inner tray and compost bin formed from black ABS material.
Dimensions: 27" x 26" x 15"
Quantities: 500/year
Production Notes: Other production material such as ceramic, fiberglass, or stainless steel that are typical for such applications were not an option due to high material and production costs, and thermoforming tooling was far more economical than injection molding tooling for this application.

Twin Sheet Formed Recreational Flotation Device
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Product Description: Twin sheet thermoforming this floatation station created a product much more durable, functional and attractive than a blow-up float. Twin sheet forming also gave this product a two-color appearance which is why this process was selected over blow molding or rotational molding since these two processes can only produce single-colored product.
Dimensions: 60" x 38" x 4"
Quantities: Approximately 5000pcs per order

Vacuum Formed and Assembled
Ping-Pong Ball Liquid Drinking Game

Product Description: This recreational gaming consists of several vacuumed formed and CNC routed components. The table are assembled at Techniform, including the electronics, and are packaged and warehoused for the customer.
Material: Black ABS, Clear PETG, PVC Foam Board
Secondary Operations: Routing, drilling, assembly.
Dimensions: 94" x 28" x 6"
Quantities: 250 per year.
Production Notes: Vacuum forming was the ideal manufacturing method that replaced the company’s previous table constructed out of wood. Switching to a plastic thermoformed assembly allowed this company to bring their product to market at an affordable tooling investment and provided them with a manufacturing method capable of producing many more tables than they could previously.

Twin Sheet Molded Retail Store Display
Material: ABS
Production Notes: This retail store display has identical molding structure and appearance characteristics to a blow-molded part. However, as a twin sheet formed part the customer was able to get a small production run at a fraction of the tooling cost using an epoxy mold. By using a twin sheet epoxy mold, this project was far more economical than any other plastic molding process, and allowed for a very fast turnaround time.
Secondary Operations: Routing and sanding the perimeter, painting.
Dimensions: 42" x 24" x 12"
Quantities: 100 per year order

  Thermoformed Plastic Carrying Case
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Product Description: Twin sheet thermoforming was utilized to make this plastic protective carrying case for laser leveling equipment.
Secondary Operations: Following the initial thermoform, secondary operations included perimeter routing, drilling, gluing, and complete in-house assembly.
Dimensions: 42" x 10" x 12"
Quantities: This custom plastic thermoformed case was produced in production quantities approximately 10,000/year.

  Pressure Formed Controller Panel
for Medical Analyzing Equipment

Material: FR Rated ABS
Product Description: Pressure forming is used to create this aesthetically pleasing plastic control panel for a medical equipment manufacturer.
Secondary Operations: Assembly of rib structure, CNC trimming and machining and applying threaded inserts. Front surface of this thermoformed panel is painted and pad printed.
Dimensions: 12" x 9" x 2"
Production Notes: Pressure forming could provide better product detail than any other thermoforming method resulting in a product that looks very similar to an injection molded product, but with a much lower tooling cost.

Twin Sheet Formed Sewer System Water Chlorinator
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Secondary Operations: Perimeter routing is utilized once the thermoforming is completed.
Dimensions: 20" x 34" x 9"
Quantities: 1,000 per year
Production Notes: Twin sheet thermoforming created a hollow, finished product that appears similar to a rotationally molded or blow molded part. Thermoforming was the chosen manufacturing method due to having a much lower tooling cost than blow molding and a lower piece-price than rotational molding.

  Vacuum Formed Drainage Tile Coupler
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Secondary Operations: Perimeter routing is utilized once the thermoforming is completed.
Dimensions: 20" x 34" x 9"
Quantities: 1,000 per year
Production Notes: Twin sheet thermoforming created a hollow, finished product that appears similar to a rotationally molded or blow molded part. Thermoforming was the chosen manufacturing method due to having a much lower tooling cost than blow molding and a lower piece-price than rotational molding.

  Vacuum Formed Case
Product Description: Rugged light-weight thermoformed protective carrying case for use in military aviation.
Material: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Secondary Operations: Perimeter routing, drilling, assembly/attachment of handles, hinges, and foam insert are completed after thermoforming is completed.
Dimensions: 28" x 18" x 8
Quantities: 500 per year
Production Notes: Vacuum forming provided a more cost-effective, durable light-weight end result than fabricating this case from metal stampings

  Vacuum Formed Window Louver
Material: UV Capped ABS
Secondary Operations: Robotic trimming is performed after thermoforming.
Quantities: 1000 per year
